NBA Rookie of the Year
2010-11 NBA Rookie of the Year Award are now posted on NSAwins.com and vegas oddsmakers have listed 2010 #1 overall draft pick John Wall the +125 favorite to win the NBA Rookie of the Year honors playing for the Washington Wizards, while 2009 #1 draft pick Blake Griffin (a 2010 rookie due to season-ending injury last season) from the Los Angeles Clippers is listed as the rookie with the 2nd best odds at +250. The #2 draft pick in the 2010 draft behind Wall was Evan Turner and the Philadelphia 76ers rookie shooting guard/small forward has been given +450 odds by the NBA vegas oddsmakers to capture the Rookie of the Year award. A player to keep an eye on and who could surprise many with an outstanding rookie season playing out west with last year’s Rookie of the Year award winner Tyreke Evens is the Sacramento Kings’ 1st round draft pick and Hohn Wall’s teammate last season out of Kentucky, DemMarcus Cousins. Cousins is listed at +650 odds to win the 2010-11 NBA Rookie of the Year Award but it would not shock us to see him have a dynamite rookie season playing with Evans who will clearly be the focal point of opposing team’s defenses and create many easy looks for the big fella down low. NSAwins.com’s expert handicapper Lou Panelli’s NBA Rookie of the Year pick is none other than Washington Wizards sensation John Wall, who should have a major impact playing in the nation’s capital this NBA season. Lebron and Bosh join the Heat
LeBron James and Chris Bosh are now members of the Miami Heat and both came at a cut rate. The Heat's two newest superstars signed matching six-year, $110.1 million contracts, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher. Dwyane Wade took an even bigger discount to stay in Miami, signing for six years and $107.5 million, according to the sources. Sources told ESPN.com's Chad Ford that James and Bosh are scheduled to make $14.5 million and Wade $14 million in 2010-11. Each player took $15million less over the life of the contract to sign with Miami, but the deals came with a caveat. It was a party in South Beach on Friday night as Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James donned Miami Heat jerseys at a welcoming celebration.
All three contracts, sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein, have an early termination option after the fourth season that would allow LeBron, Bosh and Wade to return to free agency in the summer of 2014. Each player also possesses a player option entering the final season of the contract (2015-16). Bosh and James' deals were completed through sign-and-trades, making all three eligible for 10.5 percent raises each year.

Lakers Win 2010 Title
Congrats to the Los Angeles Lakers who won the 2010 NBA Championship on Thursday night over the Boston Celtics 83-74.The Lakers won the series 4 games to 3. It was an ugly game for three quarters before the Lakers rallied in the 4th to come from behind and win the franchise’s 16th championship. Kobe Bryant was given the Bill Russell Finals MVP Award for his play against Boston. Some, including myself believe it should have gone to Pau Gasol for his immeasurable play throughout the series.
Bryant struggled in the closer tonight but finished with 23 points and 15 rebounds despite shooting just 6-24. Gasol had 19 points and 18 rebounds. Ron Artest was strong as well with 20 points – 5 rebounds – 5 steals. The title is the 5th for Kobe and 11th for Lakers head coach Phil Jackson. Phil is undecided at this point if he will return to the Lakers next year.
